Spend a day in Matt’s head and you will hear the words “food safety culture” at least 100 times!
Matt is the primary host of The Good Food Safe Food Podcast and brings his years of experience in both food safety practices and restaurant operations through practical approaches and understandable trainings.
Matt knew he wanted to be a trainer and teacher back in high school days while working at fast food restaurants. Growing those skills, Matt worked in different restaurants in his career, specializing in kitchen operations, where food safety standards became Matt’s passion. Matt graduated from culinary school and received his degree and certification as a Certified Culinarian (CC).
Food safety training and leadership continued to grow and Matt became CP-FS (Certified Professional - Food Safety) certified, finding careers and opportunities to train, teach, auditing, and support restaurants, hotels, small suppliers, and grocery stores in food safety and operational practices.
“You can always be better than the Health Department, you just can’t be worse” is one of Matt’s favorite sayings.
